What “premium later” means
The core scheduling + AI surface stays free permanently. A premium tier for power users will roll later in the roadmap — advanced AI features, advanced family-org for households with 5+ kids, premium expert tools at high booking volume.
The Phase 6 monetization shape is open. We’re intentionally not committing publicly to specifics yet, because we want to build it with input from the families who actually use the product.
What we won’t do: per-team subscriptions in the TeamSnap shape. Per-kid fees. Platform fees on bookings during launch. The pivot to monetization will be value-aligned with the families we serve.
How “free” lands for each side of the marketplace.
Free for families.
Free family scheduling, free AI scheduling assistant, free booking with the coaches and tutors your family already uses. No subscription, no per-kid fee.
Free for coaches.
Free team setup, free parent notifications, free private-training PlanIt page. No more TeamSnap Premium ($120–$150/team/yr). No more Calendly Pro for your private training ($120–$192/yr).
Free for tutors.
Free booking page. Free AI Expert Search visibility. Replaces Calendly Pro ($10–$16/mo). No platform fee on your sessions during launch.
Free for schools.
Free for families to use. We are not asking the school to build, manage, or pay for anything. It’s a resource you can share with parents.
What you’re paying now.
Reference, not comparison — we lead with what we do, not what we beat. But the math is real.

What we will NOT do.
Pricing flexibility through Phase 6 is the load-bearing reason we say “Free during launch” and not “Free forever.” The trade-off is honest.
No per-team subscription in the TeamSnap shape
Per-team monthly fees stack with the number of teams a coach runs. That’s the structural problem with the incumbent model. We won’t replicate it.
No per-kid family fees
Families with 3+ kids carry the highest scheduling load. They should not pay more for the tool that reduces it.
No platform fee on bookings during launch
The PlanIt-to-expert relationship belongs to the expert and family. We’re not extracting margin from the lesson rate during launch.
No “free forever” promise we can’t keep
That commitment would foreclose the family-side credit-pack monetization on the long-term roadmap. We’d rather be honest about “premium later” and protect the option to do it right.
Try it. It’s free.
No credit card. No trial expiration. No upsell pressure. Just the app the families and coaches actually want.
